Emmy Rossum "A Cute, curly-haired making herself one of the most promising young actresses/singers today"

About Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum

Possessing the sort of Cinemascope smile that could part the clouds over even the most curmudgeonly of pessimists, talented actress/singer Emmy Rossum has made her mark on stage and screen as one of the most promising talents of her generation. Singers turned actresses usually seem like the cross-platform work of clever publicists hoping to cash in on a star's popularity -- Britney Spears and Mariah Carey instantly come to mind.

"When I was real young, I wanted to be 1,000 different things. In acting, I get to do that every six weeks." -Emmy Rossum

Emmy Rossum as Actress

Even your average opera ignoramus knows that Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo are musical heavyweights. Well, Emmy held her own beside them at some of the world's elite theaters, including Carnegie Hall, where she sang in The Damnation of Faust.

Emmy also enjoyed the privilege of working under renowned stage and film directors early in her career -- Franco Zeffirelli and Tim Albery among them.  Having worked on-stage alongside such legends as Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti, and held her own onscreen opposite such formidable talents as Sean Penn and Tim Robbins, Rossum had accomplished by the age of 18 what most actresses dream for a lifetime of achieving. A New York City native whose early work included tenures at the Metropolitan Opera and Carnegie Hall, the multi-lingual songbird performed in over 20 separate operas in six different languages before making her television debut in the popular daytime soap As the World Turns. Subsequently, Rossum was nominated for a Young Artist Award for her performance in the Disney Channel feature Genius, and her portrayal of a young Audrey Hepburn in the 2000 made-for-television drama The Audrey Hepburn Story provided the burgeoning screen talent with her widest exposure up to that point.

Emmy Rossum Nipple Slip Picture

Alright all you sharp-eyed, nipple lovers, it's time to get out your digital magnifying glasses. I would have never noticed these Emmy Rossum nipple slip pictures. Yes, that's right, Emmy Rossum is ever so slightly slipping out of her dress, but this is definitely a bonified nipple slip.

So who is Emmy Rossum, you may ask? Well, I like to think of her as Anne Hathaway, Part 2. She's that "good girl" you've probably seen in a bunch of movies, but you'd be hard pressed to remember her name. She's also damn cute, and totally under-hyped in the hottie department. At any rate, hopefully you'll remember her a little bit better after this.

Costume Institute Benefit Gala Mega Picture

Costume Institute Benefit Gala Mega Picture Post

Here's what I really don't get about celebrities, and socialites in general. In order to raise money for a cause, they throw lavish parties, wear absurdly expensive dresses and jewels, and eat food that costs more for one meal than most families could afford for a month. All in the name of fundraising.

the Costume Institute Benefit Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York each year. The goal is to raise money for the Met, to fund the arts, and all that good stuff, but wouldn't it make more sense to shelve the egos, put away the dresses, and just give all that money, that would otherwise be spent on frivolity, directly to the cause for which they are trying to raise funds?

For someone who's only 18 years old, Emmy Rossum has had a pretty impressive career. In the last two years alone, she has starred in "Mystic River," "The Day After Tomorrow," and "The Phantom of the Opera." She's definitely one to watch.
