raven-haired actress from New York. She's got a killer body and a face to
match. Plus, Lake Bell has been slowly yet steadily building an acting
career. And since she's in her mid-20s and likely to become even more
famous, we're going to enjoy seeing her for a long time to come. In the
grand scheme of Hollywood, Lake Bell's career is still in its early stages.
When she is not working, Lake enjoys writing, painting, picking up foreign
languages, and spending time with her favorite companion, a Blue-Nosed
Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Margaret. She currently resides in Los
Angeles.

Lake
Bell was born on March 24, 1979, in New York City, New York. Lake's mother,
who is involved in animal rescue, passed on her love for animals to Lake
when she was a child. She grew up with her mother's four Dachshunds:
Schnitzel, Thumper, Tip, and Ginger. Lake spent part of her teens living in
Vero Beach, Florida, playing beach volleyball.

In
2002, Bell graduated from the Rose Bruford College of Speech and drama in
London, England. She appeared in several theater productions while studying
dance and stage combat. That same year, she appeared in the TV series ER and
in the film Speakeasy. In 2003, the actress worked in the
made-for-television movie War Stories and the film I Love Your Work. She
also appeared in the short-lived show Miss Match.
The following year, Bell landed a role in The Hillside Strangler and
appeared in The Practice as well as its spin off Boston Legal. After being
cut from the legal drama, the actress turned her talents to the sci-fi drama
Surface. 2004 was a breakout year for Lake Bell. After a role in the
thriller The Hillside Strangler, she appeared in the final four episodes of
the Emmy award-winning TV drama, The Practice, alongside James Spader. Her
character, Sally Heep, then made the jump to the spinoff series Boston Legal
that same year.

Bell (Surface, Boston Legal) - who you might remember from such former
Egotastic! posts as "Lake Bell Strip Video from Surface" and "Lake Bell
Pictures" - is in talks to play the wife Colin Farrell's character in
the movie "Pride and Glory," about a family of police officers, reports
Yahoo! News. This makes me happy, because I like Lake Bell. She's got
gumption, and moxie, and those are rare qualities these days (mainly
because those words haven't been used in over a century), but there's
definitely a quality about her.

One
show that struck me as being pretty interesting is Surface. It's a bit
like Lost meets X-Files, and revolves around mysterious creatures living
in the sea who may, or may not, be from outer space. I just finished
watching the first episode, and I can't wait to watch the second. Also,
the show stars one of my favourite (Eastern European) actors Rade
Serbedzija (also written as Serbedgia, Serbedjija, and Sherbedgia - as
he is credited on Surface), Leighton Meester, and Lake Bell, formerly of
Boston Legal. I encourage you all to watch this show, as it may have the
potential of becoming a serious competitor for Lost. And if the premise
of the show doesn't seem to interest you, maybe these Lake Bell pictures
