About
Sienna Miller |
|
In the short time that
Sienna Miller has been an actress, the 5’6” slender blonde from New York has
attracted a lot of attention. However, much of the attention has not focused
on her acting abilities: instead, the paparazzi has hounded the nubile lass
because of her burgeoning relationship with Hollywood stud Jude Law. But
Miller has demonstrated considerable acting skills on the television series
“Keen Eddie” (Fox, 2002-2003), where the American-born actress plays a Brit
opposite Mark Valley’s NYPD detective. During her stint in New York, Sienna
also found herself pursuing other interests. One day, she was spotted by
Tandy Anderson, the owner of the Select Model Management agency. Sienna was
offered the chance to model professionally and she signed on immediately.
Simultaneously, she wanted to pursue her acting career in England, and,
following her return, she was signed on by the PFD talent agency, based in
London's theater district. This assisted her in securing a part in the
independent feature High Speed (2002), also known as Joy-Rider. In this bike
racing melodrama, Sienna played the girlfriend torn between two best
friends.
"I used to have boobs, honestly I did. I went to put on a bra this morning
and I don't need one." -Sienna Miller

Sienna Miller's Birthday |
Surprisingly,
British model and actress Sienna Rose Miller was born in New York City on
December 28, 1981. Her father, Ed Miller, is an American banker, and her
mother, Jo, is from South Africa. Siblings, stepsiblings and half-siblings
include Savannah, Charles, Stephen, and Natasha. Sienna's parents divorced
rather early in her life and she moved to England with her mother. Since Jo
was constantly involved with the arts, she took on the job of running
London's Lee Strasberg drama school.
Given that money wasn't an issue amid Sienna's upbringing, she was sent to
Heathfield School, a boarding school in Ascot, Surrey, for most of her
adolescent life. It was a life Sienna quite enjoyed, as she often snuck off
to buy alcohol, pulled pranks, and even seduced the gardener. |
Sienna Miller as Actress |
|
Her feature
debut in the 2002 drama Joy Rider found the emerging actress caught in the
middle of a heated love triangle, and after essaying a role in a BBC
television drama Bedtime in 2001, Miller crossed the pond to appear on the
stateside series Keen Eddie. Trading zingers with the series' lead Mark
Valley, Miller played her character with just the sort of chemistry needed
to make an action comedy series work. If subsequent roles in the films Layer
Cake and Alfie weren't enough to get people talking about Miller, her
relationship with the latter film's star Jude Law certainly helped keep
gossip columnists in business. A mere week after Law and longtime wife Sadie
Frost divorced, the handsome actor and the rising starlet were rumored to
have purchased an apartment together in a more secluded area of New York.
Her skills as an actress attracted the attention of British producer Matthew
Vaughn of “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” (1999) and “Snatch” (2001)
fame. Vaughn cast Miller in his first feature as director, “Layer Cake”
(2004), another British gangster comedy involving thugs, drugs and double
crosses. In 2005 while Miller was appearing in London's West End production
of "As You Like It " her fiancé Law made a public admission of infidelity,
apologizing for an affair with his children's nanny (a teary-eyed Miller
appeared in the play the day the news broke, but was subsequently replaced
by her understudy). The couple's seemingly on-again, off-again relationship
captivated the press for several months in 2005; meanwhile, she demonstrated
her continuing growth as an actress in "Casanova" (2005). |

| Sienna Miller's Diet Tip for
Girls: Drink Vodka! |
|
|
Hollywood is
the best place on earth for role models. Don't believe me? Just look at
Britney, Lindsay, and Paris. They've been doling out great advice on
fashion, drug awareness, and hygien for quite some time. And now, Sienna
Miller is getting in on the act, with her very special dieting tip.
So what is Sienna's top diet tips for little ladies? Well, according to
PR Inside, it's Vodka!
Sienna Miller adopted a vodka diet to help her achieve a size zero frame
for her role in Factory Girl.
The Casanova beauty plays Andy Warhol muse Edie Sedgwick in the new
film, and had to slim her naturally svelte figure down even more to play
the late junkie.
She says, "I decided to drink vodka instead of wine because it has fewer
calories."
That's some great advice, ladies. Cut those calories wherever you can,
and if you drink enough Vodka, you'll probably end up puking out what
few other calories you did consume that day. So, win-win!

Sienna Miller's Nude Sex Scene is Too
Much for Daddy |
How
can you tell Sienna Miller's nude sex scene in Factory Girl is going to
be great? Well, for one thing, she's worried what her father's going to
think about it. PR Inside is reporting that depsite her fears of what
her father might think, Sienna is defending the graphic scene on it's
artistic merits.
We wanted to make it realistic and I watched it thinking, 'Oh my God, my
dad's going to see it!' And that was going through my head. But it was
relevant to the story in that it's a movie about the 1960s, and sex and
drugs and rock and roll were a big part of that.
We didn't want to hold back because it is a real film and it is a gritty
film and there was a lot of shocking things and it wouldn't fit in the
film if we had an unrealistic sex scene. It was always a bit
uncomfortable but I think it was relevant to the story.
Now, keep in mind, Sienna's no stranger to getting naked in front of the
camera.

| Sienna Miller is Still Crazy
for Jude Law |
|
That whole
Sienna Miller and Jude Law thing is driving me crazy. They're on, they're
off, they're on, they're off, they're assaulting the paparazzi, and so on.
Well, it seems that the relationship has made Sienna a little crazy too. Or,
at least it sent her into therapy, though only for one session. According to
the Daily Mail, after Jude cheated on her, Sienna went into therapy, but
quit after one session that ended with her calling the therapist "a cow."
Speaking candidly for the first time about their turbulent affair, the
actress said she still cherishes a ring Jude gave her and strongly hinted
that she hopes to rekindle their romance.
Sienna said she resorted to therapy over the relationship as "there were
times when I felt it was all just too much".
But the therapy lasted just one session, with Sienna hurling her insult
after a "particularly difficult question". The analyst told her she was
still in trauma and not ready for treatment.
In the new interview with W magazine, Sienna denies she dated Jude as a
career move. She said: "I was never desperate to be famous, which I know
sounds probably like a lie, but it is, in my case, very true. I fell in love
with someone very famous, and that's beyond control. But it was a beautiful
period."
I think one definition of insane is doing the same thing over and over, yet
expecting a different result. Sound familiar? Of course, from what I've seen
from Sienna, I don't think it was Jude that made her crazy, she's been doing
just fine on her own.
Anyway, regardless of any possible mental health issues, Sienna Miller still
looks great, and here she is ina new sexy photoshoot from W magazine. |

Sienna Miller's Legs are
Driving Me Crazy |
Sienna Miller
was out to celebrate Marchesa’s second anniversary at Bergdorf Goodman last
night (the same event that saw The Return of Anne Hathaway), and, well,
looked incredible.
The Sun said she looked like a cross between a meringue and a Walnut Whip,
but if that's just there way of saying she looked good enough to eat, well
then I agree. And the proverbial cherry on this mixed metaphor would have to
be Sienna Miller's legs in that dress. Yum!

| Sienna
Miller: From Bikinis to Oscars? |
|
I've given Sienna
Miller her fair share of flack in my blogging career, but I don't think I've
ever said anything bad about her acting skills. In fact, I've always enjoyed
Sienna's performances everytime I've seen her. She was witty and quick in
Keen Eddie, sultry and sexy in Layer Cake, and just a little bit psycho, and
also sexy in Alfie
I know award-quality when I see it, and Sienna Miller's capturing of Edie
Sedgwick -- the doomed mid '60s scenester and Andy Warhol girl who died in
'71 at age 28 -- in George Hickenlooper's Factory Girl (Weinstein Co.)
totally rates. It may be the most eerily accurate reviving of a dead person
I've ever seen in a film. And yet Miller projects dimension and gravitas in
spades -- an unmistakable sadness and snap and aliveness like nothing I've
gotten from an actress in any movie so far this year.
Miller isn't just a dead ringer for the real McCoy -- she gets her fluttery
debutante laugh, that mixture of Warholian cool and little-girl terror, the
giddy euphoria, the cracked voice. It's more than convincing -- it's a kind
of rebirthing. (I feel I can say this with some authority having seen the
real Sedgwick in John Palmer and David Weisman's Ciao Manhattan! way back
when, and having looked at her photos for years.)
At any rate, for a girl who started out modelling bikinis, it's quite a step
up. But remember, Charlize Theron started out in Playboy, and she's done
pretty well for herself. So, will Sienna Miller take home the gold, or will
she even get nominated? I guess we'll have to wait and see. |
