Vanessa Minnillo is eminently likeable,

About
Vanessa Minnillo |
|
Gorgeous Vanessa
Minnillo was best known as the host of MTV’s Total Request Live and her red
carpet work as a reporter on “Entertainment Tonight,” but she was wowing
people with her looks and ebullient personality long before then. Vanessa
Minnillo has come far in her short life. She won Miss Teen South Carolina
and Miss Teen USA while still in her teens (obviously), then went on to Los
Angeles where she found steady work as an on-air personality with such
networks as ESPN and Fox Sports Net, and even landed a guest gig on The Bold
and The Beautiful. Now she's a fixture on MTV as a VJ for Total Request
Live.
Vanessa Minnillo was undefeated in the beauty pageants she competed in. If
that information doesn't tell you that she's a beautiful woman, just take
one look at her -- that should confirm it for you. Her long brown hair,
brown eyes and medium complexion speak to her mixed Filipina and
Irish-Italian descent, and her bow lips frame a smile that has dazzled
thousands.
"I didn't know what I was doing. I was there to have fun." -Vanessa Minnillo,
on her Miss Teen USA experience.

Vanessa Minnillo's
Birthday |
Born Nov. 9,
1980 at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippines, Minnillo’s mother was a
Philippino native who married Minnillo’s father, a USAF aircrew member,
while he was stationed at Clark. The couple separated when the youngster was
only six, with her mother gaining custody of her and her older adopted
brother, Vince. The three then set about moving around the world, living in
Florida, Nevada, Japan and Germany. After the mother remarried another
serviceman, the family moved to Turkey. It was the last time that Minnillo
and her brother would live with their mother, as she returned her children
to their father in Charleston, SC, following Saddam Hussein’s invasion of
neighboring Kuwait. The young girl spent the rest of her childhood in
Charleston with her father and stepmother, remaining understandably
estranged from her mother until she was 19 years old.

2006 MTV Video Music Awards

So that
sucked monkey balls. Seriously, since when are the Emmy Awards more
entertaining (and nipple slippy) than the MTV Music Video Awards. It was
painful watching that show. From Jack Black's incredibly lame jokes, to
the horendous performances that had me hitting the mute button every
five minutes, and the absolutely retarded Britney Spears/Kevin Federline
thing, watching this show felt like torture.
There were a few highlights, like OK GO doing a live version of their
treadmill dance, Abigail Breslin, the little girl from Little Miss
Sunshine (one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time), Sarah
Silverman's dig at Paris Hilton (which could have been better), Al Gore
bringing the environment back (like Justin Timberlake is bringing sexy
back), and, um... That's it, actually. This show really sucked. But that
live treadmill dance was really cool. |

Vanessa
Minnillo is dating Nick Lachey, and it's probably the best career move
she could have ever made. In reality, Nick's nothing special, but dating
the ex-husband of Jessica Simpson is a sure-fire way to get your name in
the tabloids, and raise your celebrity status, if only a small amount.
Of course, another great way to raise your celebrity status is to be
super hot, and wear a sexy little bikini, and Vanessa Minnillo does that
well too.
So will Vanessa Minnillo parlay her new-found "fame" into something
bigger, and make the jump to Access Hollywood, or will it be that new
horror movie no one sees? Honestly, it doesn't really matter. All that
matters right now are these Vanessa Minnillo bikini pictures |

Vanessa Minnillo, Nipples, and a See
Through Dress |
So MTV
Canada has finally launched, and I've been getting myself up to date on
Laguna Beach (so that's who Kristen Cavallari is), The Real World, 8th
and Ocean, and all the other reality shows on MTV. Frankly, there's not
much music (pun intended) on the channel, but tons of hot chicks tends
to make up for that.
However, I still don't get TRL. MTV Canada has their own VJs, with their
own talk-type shows, and while the girls are generally cute and
entertaining, it doesn't quite have the same vibe. And it also doesn't
have Vanessa Minnillo, or her nipples. Granted, MTV in the U.S. doesn't
show much nipple action either, but Vanessa Minnillo's dress at the 2004
MTV Video Music Awards did.

Oh my God did
the Grammy Awards suck. The sound was awful, and the performers stank. And,
correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they supposed to hand out awards at an
awards show? But you know its a terrible show when the best act is Mariah
Carey. The whole Sly and the Family Stone medley was a joke, and so who the
hell let Mary J. Blige ruin U2's "one."
On the very small plus side, that whole Jay Z and Paul McCartney thing was
cool, but a couple years too late, I think (Can anyone say "Grey Album?"),
and Madonna and the Gorillaz performance was a novelty at best. At least U2
won a couple awards, including Best Song and Best Album, keeping Kanye
West's ego in check. |
