Few days back, she had made the official announcement that newcomer Sumana Das is the female lead for the show.
According to our source, "There were many who auditioned for the role. But eventually it was Karan's performance that convinced the production house that he is the apt person to portray the role."

Adds the source, "Karan will enter as the three girls' knight in shining armor. When Kanchan (Priyamvada Kant), Shamoli (Sumana Das) and Kakon (Pragati Chourasiya) enter Mumbai, they face a lot of hardships.
